ABOUT BREATHWORK

Elemental Flow is designed to help you to relax into a place of safety.

This powerful experience combines multiple modalities of music, movement, breathwork, visualization and guided meditation - to facilitate deep transformation.

The breathwork is designed to relax the body and move it into a parasympathetic state. The breathing triggers the body to move into a theta wave state, meaning that you will be able to do deep healing work in the inner child meditation that follows and liberate traumatic energy stored in the body.

Participant feedback from this experience has been phenomenal and after this 1 hour session, you will leave transformed.

Stories of Impact

As someone who has greatly benefited from conversational therapy, I was nervous to try something new where I wasn’t talking through my anxiety. I was a little worried even to be alone with my thoughts. Elemental Breathwork allowed me to actually get out of my head, step away from my anxiety, and instead focus on my breathing and my body. I experienced a closeness and intimate connection to the way my body reacted to my thoughts and felt them in a very physical way - even feeling a physical release at times. I don’t know if I’ve ever felt this connected to my breath and body. With Jodie’s guidance I focused on the breathing and was able to be in the moment with my thoughts, not lost in my anxiety with them. It was surprising to me that focusing on my breathing intentionally, brought feelings of peace and a clearness of mind. The progress I feel I made is exciting and I’m looking forward to diving deeper into this healing form of therapy. - Shannon

Mind blowing! Jodie has a natural gift to facilitate breath work. I came her experience with no expectations or understanding. She made me comfortable by setting a relaxed environment and explaining what to expect. It was much more. I connected with my inner child and fulfilled my intentions for the session in a powerful way. I am not sure what happened through the process of breathing but it really moved my energy in ways I couldn't imagine. I highly recommend trying Jodie's breathwork experience and you will likely come back for more. - James

Meet your facilitator...

Jodie Ellenor - The core of Jodie's work focuses on helping women heal anxiety at a mind and body level.  Breath work & yoga have also been a powerful part of Jodie’s own healing journey – it is through yoga that she reconnected with her body.  She fell deeply in love with the Heart of Yoga style, where a yoga practice becomes a meditative dance between breath and movement. She knew that she had to share this type of yoga with others.
Jodie began retreats during her own healing journey, which exposed her to many non-traditional ways of healing. With formal training as a Masters in Social Work, Functional Medicine and Yoga, Jodie brings broad knowledge to her retreat leadership. She enjoys the opportunity for growth, friendship and relaxation that retreats have to offer.

Breath holds within it the key to releasing stress and finding inner peace. It has the power to transform both our minds and our bodies.

There have been many documented benefits associated with breath and stress and anxiety.
Deep breathing has also been shown to increase theta waves, which are brain wavelengths that are quite slow (between 4-7 cycles per second) and represent a state of deep relaxation.
Research has shown that deep breathing can balance the nervous system by increasing parasympathetic activation, reduce stress associated with going to the dentist, improve the management of aggression in males, and improve the emotional state in individuals with PTSD.
The reciprocal relationship between breath and emotion has been well defined; emotions influence breathing and breath influences emotions.
Slow deep breathing has been shown to decrease heart rate and blood pressure and improve oxygen saturation (oxygen usage).
Ujjayi breath, a specific type of breathing used in some forms of yoga has also been demonstrated to improve oxygen saturation and thus improve overall health.
